Pepe - BOSS DS-2 Turbo Distortion Demo

A small demonstration to show the sound spectrum of the BOSS DS-2 ("Made in Taiwan" model).

I conciously played the distortion pedal without an amplifier to get the unaltered output sound. Of course I know that any distortion pedal sounds better when it is played through an amp!

Eine kleine Demo, um das Klangspektrum des BOSS DS-2 ("Made in Taiwan" Modell) zu präsentieren.

Ich habe den Verzerrer mit voller Absicht nicht über einen Verstärker gespielt, um das Ausgangssignal des Effekts nicht zu verfälschen. Natürlich bin ich mir bewusst, dass jeder Verzerrer noch viel besser klingt, wenn man ihn vor einen guten Amp schaltet!

Yes, the LM-2 is almost always engaged when I play guitar. It only calms down the highest signal peaks to keep the clean sound from clipping. Great little unit that works in the background without really being noticed. When I got the LM-2 it was a "Baby, where have you been all my life?"-situation. I never want to miss it.

which setting do you use for the limiter ?

This is my standard setting to eliminate clipping:

Level: 12:00h

Tone: 12:00h

Release: 10:00h

Threshold: 02:00h

I had another LM-2 before my current exemplar and the volume had to be set to 01:00h. So tryx it out with yours. I like it when it matches the original signal level.

The DS-2 and the MT-2 do two completely different things. Both have their fan base and both are used for different occasions.
