i was looking to buy a laptop and i would like your opinion please, which would be better, this dv7 or the i7 dell xps 17, all comments greatly appreciated

@Mriliketurdles honestly I cant say because you didnt give me the exact specifications like RAM, GPU and CPU clock speeds etc. My laptop is almost 2 years old, and not available again, but newer model dv7's are available. Personally, for a gaming computer I'd go for ASUS G series, if you're willing to put out ~ $1200

Dell gaming laptops are too expensive. HP gaming (envy) are decently priced, but some people have issues with them

@jashaun27 neither, it depends if u want a 15.6" laptop screen or a 17.3" screen. It all comes down to whether u want a big screen or a small screen, as the specs can be configured identically for both the dv6 and dv7

@jashaun27 u need to give me more information on the laptop u plan to buy (like the entire model number like dv6-6140us for example). a dv6 has many different combinations of graphics cards and processors, only when you know exactly what they are, then ud know if you can play it

i dont really like the asus too much but to be honest gta iv would be the game i would play im not looking for max settings with 60 fps i just want something able to play newer games on mid settings, thank you very much for the advice.

@xxMikeTheAlienwarexx 5650 is better to some extent. google comparison of laptop graphics cards...its a list from notebook check.com
