The deity of the Star Wars universe would probably be the force itself. I think we might be moving a bit away from the original discussion. Which is my belief that the Sith are an order of backstabbing psychopathic insane murderers with one or two individuals who aren't that themselves eventually return to the light side.

That is the main issue with light and dark side morality...murder is good when it is acceptable and done for the "right cause"but what deity decides that for force users? SW makes it simplified for the movies and so it is easy to just enjoy and watch lightsaber fights...but KOTOR did good work making "grey" a possibility. There is always good and bad...but too often we forget about the stuff between.

Tabletop rpg? I haven't played it. It sounds like they got the idea from the alignment system in DnD, with the paladin in particular. I have no idea about that, what I do know is that in KOTOR and the Jedi knight series is that Throw is a neutral power. It can be used for good or evil. I'd also like to point out that plenty of Jedi don't know they are turning evil, they assume they are doing the right thing. It's not until they've killed thousands do they know they fell, and by then not care.

but agian...if you use a neutral power for bad, it technically is dark side. even if you dont think it is or feel anger. and i dont go in for the silly micro organisms idea from the new trilogy. but if you play the RPG they are very serious about use of a power, even if it is light side.
