Hi again,
I put on a "skin" of cloth (old bedsheets) dipped into white glue (usually Elmer's). I call it "cloth mache". Adds lots of strength and is great for details.
Take care

It's all paper mache as well as cloth and glue. If you are interested in my techniques, you can find information on my site, GourmetPaperMache (dot com) and my blog, PaperMacheBlog (dot com).

Hello there,
Thank you for the kind words. I just use latex based paints, like house paint you would buy at Home Depot. But any, all purpose, paint will work. I prefer water-based paints though, not oil-based.
Good luck. You should try this medium I think. It's very satisfying.
