For years, the Vet School and Med School have lead separate co-existant lives. However, one question was never settled. Which school reigns supreme at this island school?
For the first time ever, the Medical School will be squaring off against the Vet School in a KICKBALL Tournament on October 29th 2011!
Is the Vet School all bark and no bite?
Is the Med School just full of crybaby losers rather than winners?
Both SGU AMSA and Student American Veterinary Medical Association are sponsoring this kickball game for the Josh Project. This is aimed at helping sick children cope with the stresses of their hospital and doctors visits. The money raised will be to purchase "I'll be ok" kits which contain a stuffed puppy (Josh) and a book about Josh's trip to the vet. These books and puppies have helped many children in the US feel more comfortable as they face a gamut of medical tests and exams.
If you are interesting in joining a team or forming a team for this event, e-mail amsa.sgu@gmail.com or dunda1@sgu.edu. Specify if you want to form a Med Team or Vet Team!
