Ok, I'm going to guess one restriction before you even get to the end. I'm going to guess that the type of cube was a restriction. It looks like an old crappy cube (maybe Rubik's brand or type A1).

@Thrawst what cube used?

By they way, I have the same cube (25th Anniversary) with silver stickers. I lubed it with silicon and it turns amazingly.

The cube sounds stiff.....and looks stiff

@marslugo Mine is sub 45, using 2 look OLL and PLL. Trying to get a under 20 average to, hopefully soon
-
man your so good i wish i can solve mine that fast.. my fastest time is 27 seconds with a dayan zhanchi ..my goal is to get an average under 20 seconds ..any tips??..and how many algorithms do you think you have memorized?
In a competition situation would that first solve where you didn't completely solve it be considered legal? i'm not trying to question you expertise on cubing, but it's just a question.

@brasstrombone9 Yes, it's off by a turn so there's a +2 second penalty. Note the time 13.66 on the timer and then 15.66 at the end.

alternative quote: "it´s the cuber, not the cube, unless the cube sucks really, really bad"

@MrJa1l A poor craftsman blames his tools. A good craftsman with inferior tools will often produce better work than the an average craftsman with the best tools. There is this unfortunate mentality of "I'll be faster if I just get a better cube" when they can still get plenty faster with the cube they have. For people with times >20 rarely is the cube holding them back.
