Renowned Bollywood screenwriter Shibani Bathija visits Mountain View for a screening of "My Name is Khan" followed by Q&A.

Shibani is known for notable works like: "Fanaa" and "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna." Her latest film has made headlines across the world. It is currently the highest grossing Bollywood movie globally, of all time. The film has a central protagonist with Asperger's syndrome set against the backdrop of 9/11 and stars the biggest actors in Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.

With all due respect,it's pathetic that such mainstream films are being overrated to the detriment of original script- something really new & exciting- Peepli Live was one of those , for my taste. India is such a beautiful country & incredible source of inspiration everywhere you look ..If Cinema is an Art , please treat it like one ! Be creative . I am not against commercial cinema , infact I really enjoy some of them .... But at least ,try to be original & true yourself for Art's sake !!!

Frankly I don't understand the whole buzz about her ...Mrs Bathija seems to be very inspired by American classics . KANK oozes 'Falling in love ' with Robert de Niro .....'My Name is Khan' even a blind could see the heavy influence of the main character in Rain Man , brillantly played played by Dustin Hoffmann & a good portion chopped off 'Forrest Gump' with the back drop of 9/11 .- all together with A list actors & well spiced with nice songs - A hit is born !!
