And Jesus said to the man who had been ill for thirty-eight years, "Rise, take up your pallet, and walk." These are the Pools of Bethesda here in the old city of Jerusalem, near the Temple, where people would come to cleanse themselves, and also where they believed that if they got in the water, when the waters stirred, they would be healed. But a man who had been there for many years, and hadn't been healed, had come to this spot, but he had no one to carry him into the water. And then Jesus came to him and said, "Do you want to get well?" And the man responded, and Jesus healed him, and then slipped away through the crowd. So this is a place where an incredible healing took place. And this is Saint Anne's church that was built in the 1200's by the crusaders, and is still here to this day, in the spot near the pool. And this is where we've just sung a beautiful song in the beautiful acoustics of this room, "How Great Is Our God."
