I actually like the Movie. It's the first Alien Movie where the Humans start the fight.

I mean: Humans see Aliens. Aliens do nothing. Humans make a..."Hello" Noise. Aliens make the same thing but with a higher frequency. Humans make a "Warnshot" Aliens see this as an Act of Attack and destroy the forward cannon of the human ship....The war begins.

They look identical to the Brutes as they appear in Halo: Reach. Down to that goatee beard of thorns and the shape of the cheekbones and eyes. to its credit, the film did have some good effects.

The effects are nice, but the ideas with "alien mortars" and "water hopping", and a grid of detectors to detect a simple wave, were so stupid , that at first i thought that it wasn't the real movie. Shame though, for the effects.
