This is not the waffle house waffle recipe from that joint on the side of American highways! It's Better!! Perfect for weekend mornings, and these can be frozen for later in the week too.
Ingredients:

2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups milk
8 tbsp melted butter
4 separated eggs

Method:

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, egg yolks, melted butter and milk; whisk together.
Beat egg whites to stiff peaks.
Whisk one third of egg whites into batter, then fold in second third. Once incorporated fold in the last of the whites.

Cook according to instructions for your waffle baker.

In the video I left out the butter... you don't always need to use it. If you are worried about eating too much butter, you can cut it down or leave it out altogether. What you sacrifice is a bit of flavour, and if your waffle baker is non-stick (as most new ones are) they will cook just the same.

  • how much baking powder?

  • @rsnp1308 The full recipe is in the info box under the video… 1/2 tsp baking powder.

  • faster way: buy premade waffle mix

follow the steps on the back of the box

eat waffle and add toppings to your liking

  • @w8tosk84u2 Yeah… But then you also get all the preservatives and extra sugar / fat that they also put in the box...

  • no sugar or vanilla?

  • @danix30001 Not needed… But if you really want sweet you could add 1Tablespoon of sugar, and 1teaspoon of vanilla.

  • looks so tasty

  • Made these this morning. They turned out really really well. I made them without telling the gang that they were not the usual "boxed" waffles and they loved them. Very light compared to the boxed version. Thanks for the video.

  • @w8tosk84u2 I did it that way this morning. I haven't made waffles for years and all it did was make big waffle air bubbles. They were terrible. I put some butter and maple syrup on them and they were halfway edible...

  • For the UK people - just bought a waffle maker, it's great and has good reviews but under £50 there is only a couple to pick from, UK doesn't seem popular on them, inbox for info!

  • thanks for the waffles! i do not no to make wafflles i search it and went to your video now i no to make waffles thanks!

  • @alldini Maybe we in the UK should try NOT to add sugar; to everything.

  • can anyone recommend a good waffle maker?

  • midnight...hungover...boy waffles would be good
