My dad used to take me to the farmer's market every Saturday when I was a kid, this brought back some great memories. Thanks!

Ya'll have to understand that February in Flint is about 25-35 degrees. You won't find any fresh local goods during a hard freeze season, it's not like California or southern states. And why are we so rude? IT'S 25-35 DEGREES! It's hard to look peppy when you can't feel your face. Or toes. =)
In the warm months, the Flint farmer's market has a wide range of fresh produce (the cherries are phenomenal). I love walking over from U of M and buying my lunch there. Yummy and cheap!

It's amazing how few people listened to the lady who spoke about the food. She clearly stated that the local farmers come in the summer.

Sorry not my idea of a farmers market. Completely off the mark regarding acquiring locally grown sustainable food and materials. Absolute discontinuity with the general trend of this channel.
Iam left wondering in a SHTF scenario who might survive in the cities with an estimated 3 day food supply.
