Lion murders zebra in Ngorongoro Crater attack!

How not to video a wildlife kill.

It started so well, but when the lioness decided to attack, the zebra was between our jeep and several other jeeps.

Luck of the draw I guess. Anyway, I basically missed the acutal kill - although trawling through the footage afterwards I realised I actually caught it. Albeit badly.

Then cue a mad scramble for position as the lioness set about devouring its meal.

A few hyenas turned up for good measure, but stopped short of taking the lioness on and ended up as much bystanders as we were.

@birknaw Ngorogoro Crater used to be for animals but now is a parking lot for the so called "animal enthusiasts"

Maybe not the greatest of these vids (although far from being the worst), but I was amazed at the procession of vehicles following the action; I wonder if there is any other way to enable people to view these reserves?
