@shantanukhandkar Minorities, though more specifically blacks, think white people are all rich and don't have any troubles in the world. Obviously, that is false but they keep thinking it.

Let me get this straight. There is a group which wants to help a certain group of people without infringing upon the rights of other groups. They are being opposed because the people they are trying to help belong to the wrong race? Sounds like racism to me. I am not white and I am not black. I am Indian (not native American) and I think this is unfair. How does aid to white men hurt black people of women in any way?

I am an Indian and here is what I notice when I watch American TV. You can't say 'nigger' but you can say 'honky', 'gook', 'wog', 'chink' or 'dago' on TV. Why?

The reason these scholarships are in place is because being white in and of itself has been statistically shown to give one advantages in education, health care, jobs, income, the legal system and so on. The scholarships are designed to provide at least some sort of parity to society. Obviously, as with all statistics, there are going to be some white people that have problems but it cannot be ignored that there is a definite societal advantage to being white.
