@valeriooddone Thanks for your comments. The video is designed as a brief illustrative look into the features and benefits of the Bioflex technology and was certainly not designed to mislead. We simply felt that showing a lot of the detail sitting behind the results, whilst interesting to some consumers, would not be interesting for all. We will look again at the video in light of your feedback and aim to improve it. I hope the below helps to answer your concerns. Euan,Equipment Product Manager

The Test subject is a generally fit and active person and we tested 4 different rucsacs, one of which was the new Bioflex. We picked other rucsacs that are well known, of a similar price and similar weight and designed for the same end use as Bioflex. Our aim here was to test as near as possible like for like designs.

All the energy usage data that came from the multiple tests was then converted into calories and expressed as a measure for 6 hours of walking, this was felt to be representative of a day on the hill. We then took the difference between the best performer (which was the new Bioflex and the worst performer) and rather than giving this number as a calorific value we worked out how many popular chocolate bars equated to the difference in energy usage.

Results graph
Looking specifically at the graph we decided that we would not show a scale on the vertical axis. The intention here was to allow the animator to get the arrow and the chocolate bars in the space. Having said that, I can understand how the graphs could be misinterpreted, so we will look again at the video in light of your feedback and aim to improve it.

The energy usage graph at 0:53 seconds can be considered as deceptive advertising: one could read out that you need about a third of the energy as for a walk with a conventional rucksack. This is of course false. The energy saving of 3.5 chocolate bars gives no time and lenght of the trail, so the information is as incomplete deceptive as well.
