Over the years we have all been lied to by many false religous leaders and so called prophets. Many things we have been taught are not even in Scripture and millions have swallowed so many lies by these false leaders. If you are a truth seeker, please visit the web site which is displayed in my picture and user name and take the time to read some of the articles... You will be very shocked. There is an audio there that will shock you.
@Vire70 Looks like they don't have a word that describes people like me - belief in God but want to lead my life without asking Her for help. There are no miracles, prophecies or magic - everything is to be gained via hardwork & sacrifice. Jesus came close but they spoiled things by ascribing all those miracles to him. Rama comes the closest - just one miracle, but everything else He achieved thru hard work.
Well, first, Dinosaurs did have brains, as do all other mammals. It's a point which I find important to remember, as whilst humans might be intellectually superior we are not by any means alone, regarding sentience/feelings.
Here's some definitions people get confused with:
Theist - believes in god(s)
Atheist - does not believe in god(s)
Gnostic - claims knowledge of god(s)
Agnostic - does not claim knowledge of god(s)
Note the two separate terms are not mutually exclusive.
@Vire70 LOL thank you. I actually started calling myself an Atheist Hindu but i realize that isn't right. What would u call a guy who believes in God but wants to live his life as if She doesnt' exist? That's not Agnosticism either. To me, my ideas come from Hinduism - to me that is the essence of Hinduism. Whether we make this earth a heaven or hell is upto us, god will not interfere. It is upto us to not go the same way as the dinosaurs did - at least they have an excuse, no brains.
You seem like a pretty smart guy, with worthy ideals. Now all you need is to drop the superstitious religion that you've been indoctrinated into, and join the rest of us in the 21st century.
@0Beautifulbrutality0 6 Evolution: Evolution is a testament to how far we have come - our struggle, our fight - man, when compared to most animals is very weak. Usain Bolt would lose to most animals by a mile, no man is as strong as an ordinary cow - yet we have come to dominate this planet! That's because of our brain - knowledge beats brawn, speed, magic, whatever!
Hinduism celebrates this knowledge - that is our goal.
@ramaraksha01 5. Stand Tall. Ours is a Teacher faith, our goal is Moksha - Enlightenment or knowledge, which has to be EARNED! U can't just beg or grovel for knowledge - it is wrong for a student to beg his Teacher to change his grades & it's wrong for a Teacher to do so. The Student must accept his bad grades with grace, go back work harder & do better next time. That is the right thing to do.
@ramaraksha01 4. Einsten or Hefner: a Hindu's goal is Moksha - Enlightenment or Knowledge ie an Einstean. I have heard that ur heaven is a pleasure palace - 64 virgins? please, God does not run a brothel.
@ramaraksha01 3. Stand & Fight: We Hindus don't have hell nor a heaven, our heaven & hell is right before us - this earth! We die, we come right back, unless we reach Moksha - which takes time & lot of effort. The earth will be a heaven or hell based on our efforts - funny if we become good people, set an example, maybe others will follow us, our society, our country will become better! What a concept! See what Hinduism is TEACHING us?
I had a vision of hell. I had a dream and I heard Justin Beaver in in it.
