This nine-minutes video shows a demo of the call-recording application (for contact-center) we are developing.

Download the full-sized video from the following URL: http://www.box.net/shared/3a3hqe4o4c . The video is packed as a 7z archive. You can unpack it using 7-zip you can download from: http://www.7-zip.org/ .

The audio and the images in this video are a bit out of synch (the audio leads the images by 10 seconds). I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

What you see in this video is a quick run-through of the execution of the basic features available in the application:

(a) automatic recording (1:30s onward): a call is automatically recorded if there's a rule that matches the description about the call (e.g.: in this demo there's a rule that causes calls for "shopaholic" campaign to be automatically recorded).

(b) on-demand recording (5:46s onward): call-recording activity can also be invoked later on an on-going call, by sending a command to the call-recording application. You can notice that the first couple of seconds of the conversation -- before a command to start recording was sent -- don't get recorded.

The underlying idea of the design is to bring both the caller and the callee to a dynamically-created conference room (if the call is to be recorded), and record whatever is "in the room" through a silent participant that we sneak in to the conference room.

In this demo, the caller is Raka and the callee is a singer; they sing together the bolero "Sabor a mi" on the phone.

We will provide another video next week that explains how to develop this type of applications using SIP Servlet, Asterisk, and Web Service.

In the meantime you can read the general description of the design from the slides that we put on the following URL: http://www.box.net/shared/7bj2sowcoc
