HTC Sense - Animated Weather - Touch Pro2 - 8 Weather Conditions - Windows Mobile - HTC HD2

The HTC Sense user interface has numerous wonderful aspects to it. The interface is flat out fun to use.

This user interface provides a multitude of animated, graphically pleasing menus to perform functions such as checking the weather, e-mails, changing settings, viewing photographs, and making phone calls.

Like I said in the video, a demo of the animated weather conditions is worthy of a video all its own simply because there are so many (8) and it's fun to watch them.

I also briefly give you my opinion on the Windows Mobile operating system, that I think is fantastic.

Sidenote: This is my T-Mobile Touch Pro2 with a custom ROM (cooked ROM) that is Windows Mobile 6.5.1 with added customizations (programs, graphics, icons, etc.) and the "HTC Sense" shell or user interface.

Custom ROMS are available all over the Net. Two places to check for downloads (and discussion) are HTCPedia.com and thewingster.com

As to the HTC Sense interface was called the "Leo" interface by some developers of cooked ROMS because prior to the HTC HD2 handset debut, the PHONE was code named Leo and this was the interface on it.

So this shell or user interface became known as either:

"TouchFLO 3D, Manila 2.5"

or

"TouchFLO 3D, with the Leo interface"

@Snackky ... that's true, but remember this was a year ago, there were few back then. Moreover, this is just a demo of the demo. It was not meant to discuss all the animations.

Really though, things have advanced so much in that year (see my other videos) with the custom ROMS, task bars, slider, icons, Sense modifications.

I have the T-Mobile Vibrant (Android w/ Samsung's Wiz shell) can't come close to how WinMo can be modded and customized. E.g., Cookies Home Tab Editor is fantastic.

I have T-Mobile TP2 and it has window 6.5 on it, but how do you install HTC Sense on the phone? Whenever i go to the HTC website for the download, i am told to put in my serial number, and when i do that, it says that the upgrade is not available for my phone. Please help, i would like the weather animation shown in this video. thank you!!!

@unluckyscales Don't go through HTC. To get the weather you have to install a custom ROM with Manila, etc. Those contain the HTC Sense user shell. See my other videos on installing a custom ROM.

Go to XDA, join so you can download files, find the HardSPL thread.

Install HardSPL on to your Touch Pro2. It's a small file that "unlocks" the phone so you can install custom ROMS.

Once hardSPL is installed you can install custom ROMs. Check out htcpedia[dot]com for more info.

Does HTC sense come stock on a sprint Touch pro 2 with 6.1? I'm getting one next week. I already downloaded 6.5. does it come on that? how do i get sense

@DUGLESSM Keep in mind most people don't know the difference in specs, they will never use all that power.

Also, for some a physical keyboard is essential.

And lastly, it's a 2009 (as in August 2009) TP2, NOT a 2008. LOL. The TP2 is still a flagship device. But they will be coming out with the TP3 in November 2010.

@Cabopro3500 u cant decide between an 2008 tp2 or an 2010 hd2???? are smocking crack??? hd2 is 2x the touch pro 2 in every sense.
