  • OK...question...when you did the video, your audio sounded a little flat. (I assume that was the web cam mic) But...when you did your demo, you sounded more base in your voice. Why? The processing or the mic? Or both?

  • it was the mic on the webcam i did the video with. but the recording was with the Neumann

  • you got a really cool studio there man! awesome voice too!

would you recommend Avalon preamps for the neumann TLM103? that ones with compressor and eq included.

    peace!

  • Sure....Avalon is good stuff and would be very clean and warm sounding. ya cant beat a tube amp.

  • I have a question. I read on a sound tech board that the chain should be mic-mixer-compressor-computer. Do you have the processor running to the A/D interface then to the computer?

I am getting ready to make my purchases and was wondering the proper chain order. If I do it like the tech guy says, I cant use a USB mixer. I was going to go from mic to processor to a mixer with a usb then to the computer. Do you think this will work?

  • yes it will work....but be careful. The longer the chain the more your audio can suffer because the chain is only as strong as your weakest link. Make sure your using a good quality mixer and not a $25.00 crappy one.

  • HI, I've just bought a m-box mini digidesign to use with my symetrix digital voice processor for professional voice over service, how do I connect it up to work well with my voice processor?

  • @danielp321

The Avalon You talk of.. It's great! It's one of the best Pre-amps I've heard for spoken word. (Remember that.. Spoken word.) I use it with another, more expensive, Neumann. It's great.

  • you look and sound like chris martin

  • mine just records on any program..mabey cuz i got the new mbox tho

  • Wondering about the link from the mic to the computer. You have the mic into the large preamp and then that preamp going into the mini preamp and then into the USB of the computer? I was also wondering what type of connections the large preamp has.

  • i am realy want be like you guys, but those stuff you using, is very difficult to own, :-(( how i wish i could buy a cheaper one

  • No wonder I cant find it listed on Google Product search it was introduced in 1998. Looked it up on pdf file nice little funky device.

  • Love your stuff! Great video and great studio. I did want too ask - in order to have the versatillity in production without being limited to just "Pro Tools", would you suggest setting up 2 seperate systems? Meaning have one setup for "ProTools" and one lets say thats setup for "Adobe Audition". If I did, Im assuming also that I would have to have a preamp that has 2 outputs going to 2 seperate digital procesors (MBox & M-Audio box) ..?

Can the Symetrix 628 do a split out like that?
