  • Whoa, guys...can't we all just get along? Really, guy1112orkut, aren't you being a little unreasonable? If ToughCookie01 had said I loved this documentary, would you still have been pissed off?

  • I was just trying to stir some drama.. ! :D

  • Puja still lives into the brothel !!!

from : kids with cameras (the project of zana Briski

  • I always feel she chose the wrong kid to get grant.. she was in a brothel... where girls are forced into prostitution.. she should have chosen a girl to get a passport and pursue travel abroad.. what did Avijit had to lose? Even if he didnt made it to school... maximum it would have turned out for him was to be a rickshaw walla, a servant, a pimp or a crook.. he is a guy.. he is not supposed to get 'in the line' when he grows up..

  • shining India at its best

  • there was an update to this story i read a year ago, all the kids went back to the school one of them is studying in america right now at a private school! the real smart boy with the strong personality

  • Does anyone know the name of this song?I really want to download it..

  • @ericanicolec27 thnk uu soo much..yes its heart breaking i sennd u sum more questions if u cud plz answer them =D

  • Usually, the girls are born into families who have relied on prostitution for survival for many years...their mothers are prostitues, their grandmothers are/were prostitutes. It's a way of life...the only way of life they know. Often the fathers are addicted to drugs and it's the women's job to prostitute so that they can afford their habits. It's awful. From a very young age these girls know that they will have to go and work in "the line"...it's only a matter of time. It breaks my heart.

  • does anyone know how these brothels are run...by who?? why wont the girls escape do they have a boss or something?

  • so sad her mom took her out of the school :( everyone sucks. seriously, how could they treat their children like this? they're so selfish sometimes....i love the boy that's like: 'i want to go to university!' at the end....i really wanna help!!! JOIN AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL!!!

  • I don't think there's a person out there who would take the time to watch this documentary and actually find it "entertaining" like frickin' Transformers or some junk...I personally found that this film to be quite moving...it was troubling to see the horrible lives these children lead...the abuse, disgusting living conditions, prostitution...but it was unbelievable how they managed to maintain such positive attitudes through it all...such happy souls. So that's my two cents...
