I got one for less than $100 including shipping. It's a pretty simple synth but you can get some great sounds if you know what you're doing.

you can pretty much get these kinds of sounds out of any electribe if you are using the right samples and using the efxs to change pitches and add ridiculous delay.

i used to have an ea-1 and i pretty much only used it for ambient and weird sound fx. on my channel i have a video called not a soul in sight, the ea-1 was essential in that song.
