This is my white bellied caique doing his brand new trick. He just learned this today so it takes him a little time.

@IluvAandN i have had Linus since he was 8th months old. i volunteered for a woman who raises exotic birds for a living and one day he was almost adopted out.... needless to say i just couldn't let him go.

@helintroy caiques do not require nectar however in the wild they will not pass it up. They also will occasionally indulge in a tasty meal worm, if offered. (gross i know) They only thing a caique requires is a balanced diet. they tend to get a little chunky if they are not fed a balanced diet because, like most birds they pick out their favorite things to eat. My caique, Linus, eats a 70% Harrison's and 30% Zupreem diet. He gets all sorts of veggies and fruits as supplement to this basic diet.

awww thats adorable, i have budgies im training the green ( spring ) one but my blue ( angel ) one doesnt listen she just snatches the millet seed away from my hand everytime got any tips? Oh and im teaching my bird this trick whenever i say " up up " he goes on my finger xD

Aww what a clever boy! If i ever do get a parrot (not a budgie, i have those now) i would love a Caique, i hear they are very playful!

He is adorable but (to the video viewers) if you dont like the price tag, dont buy any parrot - the vet bills are very expensive!!!
