I just noticed that in the US version the FoFs are a bit longer.

Well for Japanese games they have O as there main botton/action botton as for English games our main botton is X. So making it O for basic attacks and X for artes since there used to that kind of botton layout for O being the main action botton as for english its switched around since for us its always X as main.
