This is no Atom equivalent. Atom is just a small car with all the shell taken off and thus making it really light.
Mosler is in a much different class, to where many Europeans are racing them and winning races with them, also many more buying them on the road.
Americans can build good cars, but the big companies here build cheap stuff because they know they can get away with it and make more money, since there's no direct competition, as compared to Europe there's a lot.

Mosler is American. They are also built in Europe for their market over there, and especially when Mosler came out, no one in America wanted to build it for him, so he went overseas. Now is different in the U.S. I think, but not sure, though I think they build them here now.

When I first saw the Mosler I thought "what the hell is this imitation yankee supercar" now I realise it's cool in the same way an Atom or Caterham 7 is; It's a raw lightweight track car for the road and with another 200hp would probably hold off an Enzo, no lie....
