it'a about a man who cry his dead friend.
the sad man is the compositor Zbigniew Preisner and the friend is Krzysztof Kieślowski, a film director.
Lacrimosa is a part of requiems, the part to cry ;-)

I did not hear such sadder lacrimosa yet after I heard - 1) Henryk Goreski's 3 pices in old style 2) Samuel Barber's Adagio for strings 3) Albinoni - Adagio.

Sad? no, just beautiful.
I searched the music you mentioned. I appreciate the 1st & the 3rd, I find they are not so sad, contrary to the 2nd.
