Beautiful! That's some fine craftsmanship, sir!
But I noticed that, at 0:15, you did something I think no one should repeat ;)
Cheers!

Sounds like a mini RR Dart!

Congratulatios! veeeery nice job...

I would have the output shaft drive a mini differential in an rc funnycar!

this guy allways had this dream....building a turbo prop......
and now he has one.....and is single again....

It is a fixed shaft/ fixed turbine design, isn't it?
in other words, it isn't a free turbine design, is it?

@adriansi1111 yes you are right it is NOT a free turbine design (one turbine one shaft) all the best.

hi the thrust to date is 18 pounds but predicted thrust will be 25 pounds when everything is sorted out and max rpm is reached.
the self sustain speed is 20000 with no drive train attached its about 25000 with the drag from the drive train but clutch disengaged.
allthough the clutch is set to be fully engaged at 40000 so as to get sensible throttle response.

the maximum rpm will be limited to 90000rpm at the turbine thats 6428 at the prop with a 14 to 1 gear ratio.i have only had it up to 84000 rpm at the moment . the gearing at the moment is effectively single stage with intermediate ldler gears.
the new gearing will be two stage with larger teeth to cope with the power.the pressure ratio will be about 2.1 to 1 the compressor is a 75mm diameter garrett t04e 40trim .the compressor is capable of much more but the turbine isnt.
