This proves that the pirates are using a complex system of code words, perhaps, even the distance between the words counts in.

sounds like an old fashioned "audio" test in some other language. people in the USA would cry "auuuuuuuuuuuuuudio" and whistle into their mikes for audio test for hours on SSB when the skip was rolling in.
-
on another thought, they might be trying to contact their god through radio lol

It does not sound like you are getting that signal from the first IF CARRIER like it is comming to use from somewhere else in the radio spectrum and you are hearing as spectrum interference third or forth IF. Next time you hear it try looking for it from a higher frequency possibly a citizen broadcast freqency like maybe in the 10,11 or 12 meter range meter range .

Good theory, but the 28MHz CB band in Australia is pretty much defunct and non existent - it's all on UHF. Actually, these voices have been on 7MHz almost every night for a week just about, they definitely sound from east asia someplace. It'd be good to have some fellow Aus shortwave listeners to see if they can hear it.
