Thanks for sharing this. Getting light to shaded areas is always a problem, so it's nice to find out how other people solve this issue.
Keep posting

@aruck7 I didn't breach the camera. Nikon does 9aeb for models D200/D300/D300s/D3/D3s/D3x/D700

Hi, thanks for the great video! I was wondering a few things 1) are you using a D3 and using the in-camera HDR feature or a 3rd party app to do the HDR? 2) does it matter which flash you use I have a SB-600. Do you have a preference over which is better, in-camera HDR or PP HDR? thanks.

@lg123xyz SB600 has less power than SB800, but still should be able to work with this unit. I can not compare myself. The D3 does up to 9AEB so I don't need more than that for outdoors work. There is no in camera HDR on a D3. It is all done in post.

@CocoTheCrazyCat Hey thanks for your reply, I came across this video on how to create HDR using camera alone, or is that not the same? just append this to the end of YouTube dot com /watch?v=1EoRbVX7Drk&feature=player_embedded

@lg123xyz That guy doesn't know what he is saying. That is not HDR. It is adding the luminance values of each shot. He didn't even choose a high dynamic range scene to showcase it. Don't waste your time.

@lg123xyz That guy doesn't know what he is saying. That is not HDR. It is adding the luminance values of each shot so if he had clipping whites in scene, they would still clip as you added luminance values together in camera. He didn't even choose a high dynamic range scene to showcase it. Don't waste your time with this misinformation.
