We recorded this video in Olana's Bell Tower after an unplanned and rather serendipitous meeting the morning of June 26. I was working in my office near an open window when the sounds of a guitar wafted in. I love this about Olana... the creativity it both draws and inspires. I grabbed my camera with the intention of taking a quick photo or video for our Facebook and YouTube audiences. I was thrilled to learn that behind that guitar was Simone Felice. He had an appointment to get to, but agreed to come back that afternoon. We took a walk through the house, talked about many things, and finally decided to record the video in the Bell Tower since it was raining. We tried a couple angles, finally deciding this silhouetted one, with the view of Inbocht Bay and the Catskills and Shawangunks beyond. Listen for the birds, crickets and periodic downpours in the background. What an amazing and unexpected day!
