Good pont, the interviewer isn't the person being intervieed, his joke is to look like a stiff or be a cool dude, whatever it takes to make larry say something funny.

I dont think the interviewer is that bad...his questions are quite interesting and challenging. I think its just the way he presents himself...he looks quite nervous and slighty unprofessional...watch the jerry seinfeld interview with andrew denton and you'll know what I mean. larry david ftw!

@CavemanShelbs it was Jerrys idea to replace the word masturbation because he thought it wouldnt be as funny when they said it.

I don't mind the interviewer but I wish he (or someone else who's interviewed David) would talk about the wording of "The Contest". The word "masturbation" was never used on the episode. I've always wondered if it was Larry's writing or the network asking him to remove it.

i can't figure out why people are badmouthing the interviewer. he seems very well prepared as far as knowing David's work, and here he does a great job getting Larry to talk about the writing and improv processes for both Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm. fascinating stuff.
