Looks like a great and wonderful experience. What was your favorite part about living there? Is it possible for me to become a manga artist....in japan? That is my dream.

What is the right mindset? Any tips?

A lot of the other teachers there seemed to think it was either America with Japanese people or it was what they saw in Anime or old Godzilla movies. Everything you think you know might be right but you won't know why until you let someone explain it to you. In accepting explanations, you prove yourself humble, and that is virtue all Japanese people appreciate. Don't talk but listen. Learn the language but don't show off. Try to be 日本人より日本人.
