@princepersia1 Don't bother swapping the E55's auto for manual, the gearbox in those cars can handle immense torque for one, and it suits the character of the car. In an E63, it's more understandable, as the engine is far freer revving than the M113 ML55. M5's here get a manual gearbox option because BMW NA was afraid of losing sales. There is one critical omission on your E55 though, the fact that it lacks a Limited Slip Differential.

@ultimateguitar553 E55 with a manual? The reason I bought the E55 was because of the auto's daily driving ability. I would HATE a manual E55, it just doesn't work, the E55 is a prestige, luxury car. It's not that I don't like manual or don't know how to drive one, my evo is manual and that's fun to drive around and have fun with from time to time but a Mercedes in manual, noway. They would lose customers and even the M5s are sequential. The 722 gearbox handles over 1000Nm so it's no "slush box".
