so this is obviously being taken in a bad way. punk is what you make it. it's what you take in a put out and as long as you do it right personally punk will remain invincible.

It's not social fucking media (use that word around me and Ill throat punch you), it's talking to your friends. Social media is a word used by people who dont understand it but want to sell it.

Nice going with the stereotypical "punk" images and graphics. Not a coincidence that this video refers to 1976, two years after punk erupted on The Bowery in NYC, and about the time it appeared in Macy's windows, rapidly becoming yet another predictable music formula. BTW, Elvis Costello, derided as "New Wave" in the video, ended up being far more interesting than most of the so-called punks.

Social Media is more Hip Hop than punk, because it has evolved from its early rap roots it is changing but still harks back to older forms of communication or 'samples'. Either way comparing Social Media to punk, Hip Hop or any other musical genre just sounds a bit wanky to me and for the sake of videos like this Social Media is fast becoming just another fucking ace marketing tool.
