  • Well I got my re stat idea from you!!! I have been wanting to get a fan like you got but where do I get one like that? The fan that I'm using is one that I found and made it work.

  • @H2OPeruvianFarmer I got my fan off of Ebay, but haven't been able to find anymore just like it. Don't know where your located, but Surplus Center has a good selection of fans. They are in Lincoln Nebraska. If you don't mind spending a bit more money, a draft inducer fan from a new high efficiency furnace would be the best. This year my reohstat switch died and I just block off the inlet air to adjust airflow now.

  • how well would it work on french fry oil?

  • @nekbiodieselworks I have never worked with french fry oil, but I'm sure it would burn great.

  • from the vid, I have no idea how it works. how does oil get into combustion chamber? I know there's a "line", but what keeps the line from getting hot and making a dangerous sit.? What is the oil flow? A quick drip? Is that why you pre-ignite the chamber, so that the oil vaporizes as it hits the pan? What's the purpose of the metal pc under the drum and what you put on top?It seems if it is burning right at the exhaust, most heat goes out a chimney, unless u have a heat exchanger in it.

  • @kenfo0 The oil gets into the combustion chamber through a 3/8 steel brake line that is routed inside the 2" steel pipe. The air from the fan keeps the brake line cool enough to not coke the oil inside of the brake line. I don't know what a dangerous sit is. The oil is a steady stream about 1/8 " . I don't use the diesel fuel anymore I use a propane torch for about 2 minutes to get the oil burning. The metal piece under drum is just a spacer to bring the airflow closer to the oil.
