Playing the ROM which just popped up in the "NonGoodNES" sets a while back.
Some info on the original edition and this limited release can be found here;

Surprisingly, there's differences in both the music and HUD besides the obvious lack of platforming segments.
In each level, the goal is to wipe the screen of enemies. Battles can theoretically go VERY FAST, or drag out. In this video, they tend to go fast. Would you believe this is the most Game Overs I ever got in 16 minutes?
After level 16, the levels appear to be randomly generated.
@kuugarx100 Well, in this game if you're low on blaster ammo you switch to using the head vulcan, which seems a lot harder to hit with (I've never been able to blow anything up with it). Beam sword probably isn't in the game because the limitations of the Famicom would've made it impractical to have one of those "Epic Beam Sword Battles" you'd want to see if you actually had one.

if his gun is broken why doesn't use his beam sword like the most of the gundams?
