so you are controlling the level in this tank by adjusting the actuator to meet the SP? instead of controlling an actuator why not connect the motor itself to a variable frequency drive that adjusts the speed of the motor which will adjust the flow into the tank. this will save power consumption as well as prolonging the life of the motor.
@purplesquirts Well that would be an option. it was done this way due to instrumentation and material constraints at school. VFD would definitely be a better an more efficient option.
