Texas was on the other side of this situation back in the 1991 Cotton Bowl. My Horns were destroyed by Miami 46-3 after the Texas players where smack-talking the Hurricanes leading up to the game. That's when we were ranked #3 and Miami #5. As Herbstreit indicated, trashing your opponent before playing them is NOT a good idea. Texas also learned that the hard way.

As an ASU student and fan, I hate Rudy Carpenter, he is such a little bitch. I hate all the bullshit excuses he made to everyone about is lack of productivity, everyone here thinks he is god almighty, but i see him as nothing more than overrated qb, here in arizona. I am glad that Texas beat the shit out of him that game cause it sure taught him a lesson not to talk shit about a major college football program like Texas, espescially when you cant back it up.
