TVGreen's Time Machine presents "The Morgan Builder" from the series "Claim to Fame"

F.S. Morgan opened his first garage in Malvern Link at age 25, the place where the Morgan is still built. At the end of the production process the car goes to the upholstering department. The client is also king here. Blue leather with a purple gloss and a little yellow trim? It's all possible. Or maybe, just grey.

To satisfy all those specific requirements the factory sends a questionnaire to an expectant car owner 3 months before that future owner's car goes into production. He has to fill in all the extra's. If he goes too far, he may end up paying the equivalent of two Morgans! The manufacturing time of the car takes three months. Upholstery therefore has the time to buy just the right leather and accessories. And that experience finally led to success at Morgan.
