This is how to achieve a 1920's inspired bob even with long hair! Your hair doesn't have to be as long as mine, for this to work, just longer than a bob :). It's fairly simple and quick, the perfect touch to any Halloween costume!

  • I just wish the videos were slower. They go to fast.

  • I love your videos!! very helpful.

  • I tried this and my hair ends keep coming out of the pins and sticking straight up:(

  • I just tried it and it doesn't look nearly as good as yours! sigh... but well, I still have some time to practice tomorrow before I'll need this look tomorrow night ;) Thanks for this amazing tutorial!

  • @MissCattington Thanks, I'll definitely check her out! :D

  • @AliceQueenofHearts19 Pretty sure LisaFreemontStreet has a few actually. She does a lot of vintage hairstyles, check her out! :)

  • @BeatlesFetish09 Honey, you don't have to look like the traditional "flapper" to be one. It was all about the attitude. Try looking up West Coast Swing dancers Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollman to see what I mean. It's just the sassy, rebellious, scandalous, independent "I'm-me-and-I-don't-care-if-you-like-it-or-not" attitude. For musical motivation, listen to a little bit of Hugh Laurie's "Let Them Talk" album. Particularly "St. James Infirmary". SEXY!

  • Does anyone know any good tutorials for a 1950s Marilyn Monroe type hairstyle?

  • Thumbs up if you're here because you're attending a 1920's murder mystery party!

I may just try this... Going to one for new years eve!!

  • You're so adorable. Loved the tutorial. I am going to a 1920's murder mystery party for my sister's 21st birthday. We have to dress authentically. I am going to wear these huge feathers though instead of a headband. My character is a rich business-owner, so I got these scarlet red and black feathers from the Christmas section at Michael's Arts and Crafts Store. Anyway, thanks again.
