The trouble is that people did vote. They thought Mr Obama would deliver the changes that the "Occupy" movement is now asking for. He didn't, and no politician will. So the reason people don't vote is that they look at the results and say, "Why bother?".

And the Tea Party has succeeded because it has the backing of, among others, the Koch brothers.

@geffel If so it's only so he can redeploy them to Afghanistan, the place where empires go to die. He's a committed imperialist who fully supports the economic elite, the banks and Wall Street, and the military industrial complex. He has failed to deliver a single campaign promise except those that benefit his major donors. He is just as corrupt as any other politician, whether Republican or Democrat and spends his time hobnobbing with his owners, which will last only as long as his usefulness.

I cannot deny that Obama has been massively disappointing. He caves into the filthy repiglicunts on everything. He should stand his ground and do what he was elected to do - move the country forward, repair the damage Bush did. He should be Clinton on steroids and instead he's a Reagan repig.

But now, thanks to pressure from decent people, he's pulling the troops out of Iraq by the end of this year.

If you have watched any of the debates even the republicans don't like Ron Paul. He is the only person in the campaign that has progressive ideas to help get America back on the right path, everyone else sounds like they want to keep going the way we are. I beleive that if we continue on this path we are turning into the next facist threat to freedom and world peace.

You are all idiots. The rates at which Americans vote are dismal, and amount of apathy is so high that congress has been allowed to do horrible things with little oversight. Frank is right. Congress is the problem, but our apathy created it.
