This is part 1 of what will hopefully be a two part series - dont really wanna make it any longer than that. This will also only be recorded up until the completion of the modeling - Im not going to take you through the texturing or whatever for two reasons:
1 - Its still an experimental stage for me as a beginner and...
2 - its boring as hell to watch - even if it interests you it will bore you to death to watch me doing it.

SO!...
This is a model of a building in Fable - Its worth noting that im doing this to show my interviewer and anyone interested in me at Bournemouth University to get into a modeling/Animation course that im trying my hardest to get into. Because I want to also demonstrate how I can generate finished product from basic concept, I used ONLY the following image as a reference: http://community.lionhead.com/photos/fable2_photos/images/2752550/700x558.aspx

As you can see i used 3ds max for the modeling and I used hypercam for the app recording.

For those of you hoping to learn something from this in a tutorial sence (I'd advise you to go to htpp://www.tutorialize.com) the only hotkeys I use are:

W = move
Q = Select
E = Rotate
R = Scale
Alt + W = max/min viewport window F=Front L=Left T=Top

Thanks for watching and let me know what you think and, if you like it, subscribe!

Thanks.

  • Thats really cool man!

    Which recording software did you used if I may ask to record this video?

  • @Skyrodude: yeah man, Hypercam. My next video should be a turntable render of this fully textured with a few little extras :)

    Thanks for your comment & KUTGW.

  • Dude really, i think you should do a texturing video, i am at a beginner phase at uv mapping and i'd like to see how you would do it, and i am unsure what is the best way to approach texturing architecture :)

  • I must say this is just extremely awesome, you shouldnt have problems getting into the gaming industry m8 ;)

  • You're amazing! I wish I could model.

  • wow, that was nice. i see you using the graphite modeling tools.
