Entrevista Embellish 1 -Embellish interview, part 1

R: Tonight we have the pleasure to interview EMBELLISH, a gothic metal band from our city , Terrassa ,who has the courtesy to visit us here.
First of all thanks for coming!!
Hello David, Hello Marcos,
M and D: Hello!!
R: Guys, you are here 2 but you are some others more, who is absent? Whos missing?
M : Well, they are the other guitarist, the bass player and the drummer too.
D: Yeah, Miguel, Ernesto and the new drummer, Lucio. Bud is not with us anymore we have to change that fact at the website, hehe
R: Were listening to your cd in background, i think you have published a lot of ep´s ,singles and demos, with the name of LAS SOMBRAS, later with EMBELLISH, its seems that it was hard to publish the CD, wasnt it? how was all the process?
D: Well, we started before EmbellisH, with the name of LAS SOMBRAS, in 2000, we were the same people but the drummer, we published our first demo under the name of LAS SOMBRAS, it was called LIVIN. Later in 2002, we published the demo BECALMED PAIN, and the funny thing was that it was supposed to be called LAS SOMBRAS and the name of the demo EMBELLISH, but we decided at the last moment to change our name to EmbellisH and called the demo BECALMED PAIN.
Thanks to that demo we could go to many places as we hadnt played outside Catalonia before, between those places was Madrid where we played with KATATONIA , FINTROLL That was a big step that marked our career ,because we had the luck that among the audience, there was someone from a record label that was interested in us later, well he noticed us and took us into
Then in 2004 we took the decision to record an EP with 4 tracks (if someone doesnt know what an EP is, it is the sound of a CD but with less songs), we distributed among some record labels and someone phoned us interested in recording an album with us.
It was recorded in 2006 ,we got into the studio and we recorded our clip, and so on and in this last year, 2008, the re-edition was published due to the good sales it had ,and in this re-edition was publish through another record label, we changed the record label , and well, right now the album is available in México, Italy , Germany, Japan, Sweden.well, I dont remember very well where more
The last thing we published was an EP that we recorded in our own studios in unplugged,and it was some kin of gift for the fans who were waiting for something new since 2006, it is like a kind of small breath and it is funny because many people knew about us this last year 2008, they didnt know anything about the band before, even when we released our first album and it is something that its helping us to prepare the new album more relaxed and feeling more like doing it.
R: Of course, well, we said ,Embellish, is the result of a long career full of bands , full of different names, full of different musicians. You started in 1996, i think, with ABOKAJARRO, we could say it was a trash metal band.

M: it was metallica 100 per cent, sure ( giggle ), I was not in the band those days. They were just David and Miguel and some other members, you know
D: yeah, i think that Ernesto joined Abokajarro in the last days of the band, I think that Ernesto was in the last gig we play with Abokajarro.
M: I joined in the band when the project named Las sombras stareted but well, there were a lot of changes, thattrue
R: Well, and i want to ask, all this evolución, these musical and members changes. How can we notice it in the sound of EmbellisH nowadays? How do you think all this influenced?
M: Well we can say that all these things made us learn many things, playing with different people and so on we always wanted to sound like EmbellisH but it is very difficult to find the missing pieces of a puzzle, but I really think that the band members nowdays now because we have a new drummer but EmbellisH we can say we are four permanent member it is a block which is very difficult to move.
D: We can say that we are four ince 2004, few things change except for the way to play some tracks
M: But well we can say that it is a compact block, we rally round nowadays with David,
