All I can say is that your video was the first one I looked up after getting my new fly-tying kit. After watching you, I'm going to throw my instruction manual away because you are much easier to follow!!! I wish I could give you a big hug! Thank you!!!
hi dave, a while back you told me that this fly was good for chub, and i found this out when i banged into a 5lb 9oz monster on a trout session, and two casts later, along came a 5lb 2oz rainbow along with around 30 others averaging 3lb! what a great fly!
hi dave i;m a fly tier from eastern ct.usa i love your variation of th pt nymph i think its one of the best flies ever tied and should be a standard in any fly box that fly has caught countless trout. i sometimes leave it tied on until theres hardly anything left keep up the good work i heard you comment in one of your videos about the old man that taught you how to tie as i too had the same tutelege he taught me how to tie a fly out of heron and starling that he called a killer and boy was it
