Keeping Harmony Alive Charity Event for the kids

The Echelon Club is "Keeping Harmony Alive"
Celebrities support The Echelon Club's "Keeping Harmony Alive" by helping to sustain music programs in the inner city schools.
Kimberly Moore, founder of The Echelon Club has formed another successful campaign called "Keeping Harmony Alive" which progressed from her Adopt-A-Letter program this past holiday season. "Keeping Harmony Alive" was inspired by a 16 year old girl from Bell Gardens H.S. named Grissel, who was deeply impacted by the generosity of Ms. Moore and reached out to her as a role model and inspiration in making a difference to her community. When Grissel found out her school's music program was about to be cancelled due to lack of funding, Grissel immediately turned to the Echelon Club for help.
With only two weeks notice, Ms. Moore put together the "Keeping Harmony Alive" campaign. With the support of Echelon Club members, celebrities and top music industry professionals, the campaign came to fruition with a spectacular night of live performances by Dave Stewart's new artist, Cindy Gomez, this year's Grammy moment winner Ann Marie Calhoun and 17 year old prodigy pianist, Mario Max Granville of Bell Gardens High School. The event was a great success when numerous instruments were donated to help keep Bell Garden High School's music programs intact.
"Music is a magical gift, says Ms. Moore. "It is the eight wonder of the world and lifts and changes our mood, thoughts and feelings. For some of these children it is their lives, their instruments are their best friend. If we take this away, some of these children will be devastated. These music programs are so beneficial for children and it has been proven that youngsters who study music become more goal orientated, self disciplined, developing a higher intelligence, better self confidence, success in society, life and much more. Although I can not help all the schools at once, but if we can just help one, this would truly help in enriching the lives of thousands of children in the years to come."
The Echelon Club is a high-profile membership organization, with gatherings taking place every other month, dedicated to bringing influential people from around the world to make a difference. Echelon will hold an instrument charity drive for dropping off any new or used instruments for the children of Bell Gardens H.S. until June 3, 2008.

I just read the article on the side of this page... Kimberly Moore is so beautiful, both inside and out! I am sure this experience will change the life for some of these kids. Mario Granville (the pianist) is also really talented, wish I can hear more. He seems really bright. No one ever did anything like this for my school growing up! So cool!!!
