The U.S diet is hard to break, I've just lost 77 lbs myself and it was hard. When you give up sugar, fried food, butter, beef, your body literally has withdrawal symptoms. You get angry, it's hard to sleep, you constantly think about food, your insides just feel tingly. People don't become this obese by choice, they become obese because the compulsion to eat is too strong and American culture hasn't changed that much to create these compulsions, they come from our food and all the chemicals.

I could tell you I eat fewer calories then my husband, but it would be a lie. I could say I weigh less too but that would also be a lie. being obese is diffently a eating disorder. I wish there was more stories about being obses then being to skinny. its seems like more people are concered about the size o and eating disorders like anarexica and being bulimic then being obses. Also, the comments about being to thin is so diffrent then being to big. there is more people that understand anarexics

Unless you have been obese you have no idea what it indetails or how hard being obese really is. When you are obese it is so hard to move let alone use the treadmill 3 miles a day, three days a week. If we could just stop eating we would. Being obese is more then having control over what you eat. pls stop eating I wish. Teenagers dont bat a eye at plus size clothing cause it would hurt to much to realize how big you are actually getting. Self denial? dont you think we know were fat? we know ok.

Many of today's teenagers are what I'd call obese or morbidly obese. There isn't the peer pressure to be thin in most public high schools anymore because all their friends are fat like they are. I see teens going into W-Mart and trying on size 24 or 26 jeans for women. What's worse is they don't bat an eye at wearing plus sized clothing when they are only 15 or 16 years of age.
