continuing the ideas shown in Dmajor. here, i connect two runs, from Dmaj to A7. then resolve to Dmaj. i hope this gives you some ideas about how to construct lines that are long and flowing and can also give you some speed as well with the chromatics all over the place. at the end there is a little bonus application with the increasingly popular minor 6 flat 9 tonality played over a major chord.

  • @sheriffii hello sheriffi. I have been to DFNW 3 years in a row now and would love to make this my 4th. although i cant say with 100% certainty that i will be there, im about 90% sure that i will go this year. if you see me there, please let me know who you are and we can play!!! if i dont make it, then either way i hope you have the time of your life. DFNW is an amazing experience, and is not to be missed if you can help it!!

  • Hi Maxwell could you please show or indicate the gypsy picking that you would use to play this lick. As your video doesnt clearly show your right hand

  • @namvidz there is no set picking pattern with how i play, i dont think about it that technicaly. play how you feel, as long as you get the notes you want out of the instrument. i do use the rest stroke which dictates that each time you change a string, whether up or down, you do a down stroke. and each time you alternate pick the down strokes must "rest" or hit the string below. but if i play something fast, sometimes i will hit a string change on an upstroke for economy.

  • Thanks for posting this, Maxwell!

  • @adrianholovaty Adrian! thank you for checking it out!
