@flowmasta22 Unfortunately as this is not our product we are unable to answer that question for you. You will need to speak to the manufacturer directly or refer to thei installation guides.

@AltroFlooring I saw the speed groover on sweene todd, thank you, also, do you think the speed groover is approved to groove inside/outside corners for nora rubber?
-
@flowmasta22 Cont. External mitres and coved joints on straight sections of wall should be treated in the same way as standard Altro Safety flooring.

@flowmasta22 Cont. Any coved joints that appear on straight sections of wall can be grooved using the Speed Groover as shown on the demonstration video. The exception to this would be when installing any Altro Easyclean Maxis technology safety flooring, for example, Altro Suprema. Due to the Maxis technology, it is important to groove all internal mitres, including the top section, to fully expose the PVC, thereby ensuring a strong and consistent welded joint.
what temp do you recommend when welding altro walkway.if

@randix1716 It is very difficult to give exact figures for the welding of vinyl floor coverings as there are many factors to take into consideration, for example; the temperature of the flooring and the environment, what type of speed nozzle is being used, etc. There can also be a difference in temperature output from one welding gun to another depending on its age and condition.

In general, standard Altro Safety flooring products should be welded at between 250°C to 350°C, which is number 5 to number 6 setting on the newer 10 number setting welding guns. Mitres should be welded at a lower temperature than joints on the floor. In order to achieve the correct weld, we would always recommend that test welds are carried out on a piece of unwanted flooring prior to completing the welding of the newly laid floor.

all the videos and co-responding comments refer to altro's standard range, however for my company, and i would imagine as recommended by altro reps, most other company's now, when fitting a high volume water area ie a wet room. we must use altro marine or polysafe hydro
what would be your approach to welding and applying mastic to this range of flooring?
dirtysnatch1 1 year ago
@dirtysnatch1 We would recommend that all joints and mitres in wet rooms are hot welded, and that Altromastic 100 is used around pipes, toilet pans, door architraves etc.
We do not recommend that Altromastic 100 is used for the joints or mitres unless it is not possible to get a welding gun into the areas to weld these items.
The tests we have carried out show that a welded joint is stronger and more watertight than a mastic.
