Patrick and Company... the street scavenger kids of manila... these kids have a sense of responsibility in their tender ages, they also have dreams....... not to be mistaken as one of those Rugby Boys...
Rugby Boys are those kids already addicted to glue and have twisted ways of thinking, always living a very dangerous life every night in the streets of Manila.
This is the real picture... and it is big.
Wallow with me in these reflections and may you appreciate the blessings in your life... count them.

Further interview with Patrick revealed that there are another group or segment of indigent street kids... these kids are more violent and has lesser chance in life to succeed due to their high mortality rate... if their lucky, they can still grow up and live to be a teenager with mental illness.
They are called the "Rugby" boys... Rugby is a popular brand name or label of a glue used for fixing shoes and for making upholstery - easily accessible from small upholstery and shoe shops especially hardware and construction supplies store or even your nearest ACE Hardware.
The Rugby boys sniff this glue in a plastic bag giving them some sort of high similar to halucigens... Once under this high state, these kids become more violent, fearing nothing - throwing rocks and stones on vehicles and or rival gangs. Normally, these kids are involved with gangs.
They normally are out in the evening starting from 7PM onwards. I tried to shoot a video on them once - but I was cautioned about these kids being violent with reporters or people with cameras.
Even Patrick and company is not exempted from being victimized by the Rugby boys... he was once almost stabbed by a rugby boy.
A kids from the slums or from the streets can become a Rugby addict for as early as 5 years of age. I know this is quite a shock! But this is reality... and I will try to catch this on video soon.
This problem is big!... and the SOLUTION should even be BIGGER!
