Our country doesn't support gays at all- if they did, gay marriage would be allowed in more than 5 states. The only epidemic spreading through the US is IGNORANCE- taught by the people who lead it, and followed by the people who thrive in it. Here we are 30 years later and the "infectious agent" was probably transmitted cross-species ( from apes ) by monkey blood serum used to manufacture vaccines. We brought this on ourselves, as usual but sometimes the worst things can bring out the best in people. It forced the gay community to mature, change and adapt into what it is today. This once fatal disease is now a debilitating physical condition that is controlled with meds but is still no walk inthe park and far from being controlled.
