What's unfortunate is that the two guys who were interviewed for this story most likely died within a year of its broadcast. I grew up in the 1980s near San Francisco and remember the hysteria over AIDS. It's even more unfortunate how so many young Americans today seem to think that AIDS is a thing of the past, like the Black Plague, and again are engaging in reckless, promiscuous sex.

It was originally the Simian Immune virus. But when people killed monkey's with that virus and came into contact with its blood the virus mutated into a human version. It then spread through Africa by truckers who then passed on to prostitutes who then passed it on to their costumers.
