Rupert Sheldrake, one of the worlds most innovative biologists, is best known for his theory of morphic fields and morphic resonance, which leads to a vision of a living, developing universe with its own inherent memory. He first worked in developmental biology at Cambridge University, and is currently Director of the Perrott-Warrick project.

  • I think you need some more subtitles on this video.

I mean, what if some Eskimos were watching it? They wouldn' t able to understand.

  • Systemic non-physical hierarchies? Would you be little more specific?

  • That's so funny. Neither Valacco nor Wilber know anything about the systemic non-physical hierarchies those ancient authors were referring to in my opinion. There are plenty of modern observations that confirm the older view which is infinitely richer than the idea Valacco gives there, and furthermore, is based on direct experience rather than surmise. And they don't contradict Sheldrake at all, in fact they massively confirm him from angles he hasn't even suspected yet. Just my opinion. :)

  • I think it's important what Valacco wrote in "From Zarathustra to Ken Wilber" "Instead of the ancient hierarchy of angels according to heavenly spheres, Sheldrake suggests the new one in which first order of angels deals with matters which belong to the highest level of the universe; the second organizes groups of galaxies and star systems; the third order deals with planets."

  • this audience looks so painfully bored ;p awesome lecture though :)

  • This discussion of the sensitivity of crystalline formations to prior experience dovetails nicely, IMO, with Masaru Emoto's studies of the effect of intentional thought upon the patterns of crystalization in rapidly frozen water.
