I've lived in Merced my whole life, and I never lived in a mansion...I've gone to UCD the last couple of years, and living in these dorms are a hell of a lot better than living in Merced. I hope I never live in Merced ever again.

I know some people (students) that live in a huge castle in a closed amusement park.

But 200 USD per student to live in a mansion? Damn. I pay almost 300 euro per month to live in a normal house with 7 other students =/

But hey they are students, trying to get the best for as cheap as possible.

Everyone who has ever reported on UC Merced's housing has completely over exaggerated it. A room in a mansion for only $200 this chick is crazy. I go to UC Merced and I've never met anyone with that deal. Most of this is BS used to make their stories more interesting.
